It is very nearly impossible to express how grateful, amazed, humbled, and excited we are to announce the great success of our kick-off Good Bird bake sale benefiting Fawomanye!  Words fail to describe the amount of support our local community has given to this worthy village clean water project.  The event was an astounding success and surpassed our expectations.
Amazingly generous donations & Good Bird purchases after the event have brought our fundraising to just over $3,000 of the $7,000 needed to bring clean water to Fawomanye!

We are undone, friends.  And encouraged.  And on our way.  And ready to BUILD THIS WELL!!  We think of the women and children in Fawomanye who spend 6 hours of each day carrying contaminated water home to their families.  We believe this can change, and we feel their hope.  We are fueled by the enthusiastic response from all of the good and caring people in our community who believe clean water can will be a reality in this village.

Andy Jones, director of Africa Heartwood Project, attended our kick-off event
 and filmed this brief footage:

We are incredibly pleased to announce that the NEXT event will be hosted by the McConkie Family of West Bountiful, Utah!  We invite you to join them as their community comes forward in support of Africa Heartwood Project and Fawomanye village.

What are YOU thankful for?  This is the season for reflecting on that question.  This Thankful Tree can help!  Write one thing you are thankful for on each leaf of the tree and display it throughout the season.  You can make it a fun activity for a family night, or save it for Thanksgiving day and encourage your family and friends to fill in the leaves while they are waiting for dinner.  Our Thankful Tree is an original sketch that fills a 24 X 36 inch poster.  It can be customized with your family's name.
